Directions
Getting to the Gonubie Hotel couldn’t be easier:
If you are coming from Johannesburg, Pretoria, the West or North:
just follow the N1 to Bloemfontein, from there take the N6 to Aliwal North, Queenstown and East London. Turn right at the roundabout at the entrance to East London and follow the road to the second traffic light at the NTT VW dealership and turn left onto the N2 to Mthatha.Take the second exit, 1054 to Gonubie, turn right under the motorway and follow Main Road all the way, until you smell the sea, the Gonubie Hotel is on your right.
If coming from Mpumalanga or Kwa-Zulu Natal:
Our friends from Cape Town, the Garden Route and PE:
You have only the N2/R72; follow it all the way to East London. Once in EL keep following the R72 signs until you again pick up the N2 at NTT VW, turn right to Mthatha and take the second exit, 1054 to Gonubie and follow the road all the way to the sea.
